What is a Child Dedication? A Child Dedication is a celebration in which believing parents make a commitment before the Lord before a body of believers to raise your child in a Christian environment where biblical foundation is key and to submit a child to God's will and to raise that child according to God's Word and God's ways.

Responsibilities of Parents: The Father and/or Mother must be believers and active in worship. Christian parent/s who dedicate a child are making a promise to the Lord to do everything within their power to raise the child in a Godly way, prayerfully until he or she can make a decision on his or her own to follow God. Parents who make this vow of commitment are instructed to raise the child in the ways of God according to scripture. Some of the responsibilities include teaching and training the child in God's Word, demonstrating an example of Godliness in their own lives and praying earnestly for the child.

Is There an Age Limit? Yes, Birth through 5 years of age. (After 5 years old, when they accept Christ, they can be baptized)

Pastor Christine will read a Bible Verse and ask you if you agree to raise your child according to God’s Word, she will ask the congregation to support you in this commitment and your child will be prayed over.

Each family will receive one Children’s Bible and each child will receive a Dedication Certificate.
